I had the privilege of teaching Ana French for several years at ECA. She was a great student and did very well with the language. One of my favorite memories was getting to bring Ana and her classmates to France and see them use their French in Paris and in the Alsace region. Ana and the other students climbed the Eiffel tower, visited Notre-Dame, and walked down the Champs-Elysées towards the Louvre during their whirlwind time in Paris.  She loved the French croissants and pain au chocolat for breakfast, or the eclair or macarons for the goûter time. I was so proud to hear Ana ordering in French or interacting with her French host family after taking the high speed train to Strasbourg. There are too many memories and photos to share them all, but I will not forget Ana’s joy, bubbly personality, and enthusiasm as she traveled and explored the places, culture, and food in France. She had a true joie de vivre. Je ne t’oublierai pas, Ana!
